Offshore Services

RRS’ toolbox of risk assessment services for the offshore oil & gas industry provides safety improvements and capital design savings by allowing engineers to design, upgrade or maintain an offshore facility that achieves cost-effective hazard management. “What-if” calculations can be easily performed, enabling the impact of a design change or installation modification to be assessed in consequence or risk terms. This process allows the risk to personnel or the asset to be calculated for a range of hazards, including gas dispersion, explosions, fires, smoke, riser fires, blowouts, ship impact and structural failure. Offshore Evaluations include:

  • Leak, fire and explosion frequencies
  • Jet fire characteristic
  • Response to jet fires
  • Distances to critical radiation levels
  • Build-up of smoke or gas releases
  • Escape, evacuation and rescue impact
  • Risk assessments and detailed risk analyses
  • Asset and integrity management studies
  • Reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) modeling analyses
  • Hazard identification
  • Quantitative risk analyses and consequence modeling
  • Reliability centered maintenance (RCM) for production facilities
  • Emergency response management plans
